Presentation
Throughout the CU, transtheoretical and integrative approaches to psychotherapy will be adopted, as well as interpersonal models focused on the personal development of the therapist and on the clinical skills required for establishing, maintaining, and repairing the therapeutic alliance. The aim is to foster structured discussion and critical reflection on clinical reasoning and on the ability to think about clinical practice in a way that is responsive to the specificities of the case and the setting (e.g., client, presenting problems, resources). To facilitate the training of these skills, competency-based training modalities will be implemented, including: viewing videos of (excerpts from) psychotherapy sessions, analyzing clinical vignettes, developing case formulations, and carrying out case enactments in the classroom or through video recordings.
