Postgraduation Sustainability, Environment and Quality

The pressures of the markets and stakeholders are increasingly demanding in terms of corporate, social and environmental sustainability, which is why there is an urgent need to train graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge not only of current legislation, quality management systems, the environment, safety, energy and operational risk, but also of technological innovation that promotes the competitiveness of organisations in the markets. This postgraduate programme is the result of a partnership between Universidade Lusófona and APCER and aims to be a high-level project, promoting the qualification of professionals in the areas of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency in companies and the integrated implementation of various management systems. It guarantees alignment with the latest regulatory requirements and best practices, providing students with applied learning geared towards market needs.

- Curriculum review and interview Although the admission requirement for the program is a bachelor¿s degree or equivalent, candidates who do not hold such a degree may also be admitted, provided they submit a relevant professional resume demonstrating the skills and experience necessary to attend and successfully complete the program. These applications will be reviewed by the Program Coordination Committee. Candidates admitted under this provision, because they do not hold a bachelor¿s degree or equivalent, will receive, upon successful completion, a Certificate of Specialization in Sustainability, Environment, and Quality, rather than a postgraduate diploma. To apply for APCER auditor certification, a minimum of a high school diploma (12th grade) is required.

Graduates of this postgraduate program will have a range of career opportunities in public and private entities in different sectors and areas of activity, such as national public and local government institutes, environmental control and protection agencies, industry, and service companies in the areas of design, consulting, and auditing, among others.

The training will take place online and after work, although there may be face-to-face activities such as technical visits, audits with the participation of candidates who can travel to Porto. However, these visits will be reported later online.
