Class Interdisciplinary project I

For each academic year, the teachers involved in the discipline are invited to propose several themes related to their
lines of research or, ideally, to the resolution of a specific problem for an external partner entity.
The totality of the themes to be worked on will depend on the number of students enrolled in the course, with the
students choosing the theme according to their area of personal interest.
It will proceed as follows:
- Presentation of the themes of the tutor teachers;
- Organization of working groups;
- Selection of project themes by the working groups;
- Introduction to the topic where students will develop the work;
- Guidance of students by specific tutors, with classes / monitoring of the working group (tutorial meetings);
- Development of work and preparation of a final report;
- Presentation of the final results, in seminar mode, to colleagues, professors and possible partner entities

Whenever possible, the aim is to integrate students in R&D projects where teachers are involved, or in challenges to solve specific problems proposed by an external partner entity, looking for themes that imply a theoretical preparation component, a experimental component (in the laboratory and/or in the field), including, whenever possible, acquisition, processing and interpretation of unpublished data.
