This innovative course in Portugal aims to prepare a new generation of qualified professionals with knowledge in the areas of biotechnology, the environment and economics, who will be able to develop a sustainable and circular bioeconomy, a priority area in Europe, creating a symbiosis and fusion between economic models and biotechnological processes that can benefit national and international companies on an environmental, social and economic level. The ERASMUS+ partnership with the University of Applied Sciences of Trier in Germany enables student exchanges.

a) essential knowledge of natural sciences, biotechnological processes, sustainable biological technologies and economics, and their environmental, social and economic applications b) knowledge of the fundamentals of sustainable management in today's climate change scenarios and the scarcity of natural resources c) relate biotechnological processes to R&D and innovation activities in the field of bioeconomics to create and improve industrial processes with renewable biological sources
