Bachelor Circular Bioeconomy and Technology

This innovative course in Portugal aims to prepare a new generation of qualified professionals with knowledge in the areas of biotechnology, the environment and economics, who will be able to develop a sustainable and circular bioeconomy, a priority area in Europe, creating a symbiosis and fusion between economic models and biotechnological processes that can benefit national and international companies on an environmental, social and economic level. The ERASMUS+ partnership with the University of Applied Sciences of Trier in Germany enables student exchanges.

This study cycle accepts candidates who submit their application via the institutional entry admission and have obtained a positive score on one or in the following sets of the national exams:


Candidates can also enter through the change of institution/course schemes or through a special competition in accordance with the legal rules in force (holders of higher education programmes, CET holders, etc.). special competition in accordance with the legal rules in force (holders of higher education courses, holders of CETs, CTSP holders, people over 23). Candidates who fulfil the conditions laid down in the International Student Statute.

This innovative and pioneering multidisciplinary course is aimed at anyone interested in working in companies/institutions related to the development of sustainable production technology strategies.

After completing the course they will be able to: a) join companies with the implementation of innovative methodologies and bioprocesses in the transformation of waste, production of bioenergy, recovery of products and recycling of materials; c) go on to 2nd cycle studies and advanced specialisation studies.
