    • Components of 3D geometry.
    • Using 3D primitives as a starting point for polygonal modeling.
    • Polymesh Modeling - tools for creating and editing 3D geometry.
    • Creation and editing of UVs I - UV Mapping of 3D geometry for 2D textures.
    • Hypershade - creating materials that simulate basic physical effects.
    • Creation of cameras and their framing.
    • Creating a lighting environment.
    • Introduction to rendering processes simulating light phenomena.
    • Introduction to layered image rendering - Render Pass - Occlusion shader technique.
    • Post-production I - composition and treatment of rendered images.

    Objectives

    In this curricular unit, students will acquire knowledge in three-dimensional modeling, techniques for creating articulated 3D objects, surfaces, and textures. They will explore concepts of lighting, shading, and 3D rendering for producing high-quality 3D images.

    They will deepen their practical skills using Autodesk Maya software, creating and manipulating 3D objects, performing UV mappings for 2D textures, setting up materials, and defining appropriate lighting. They will develop competencies in 3D rendering to achieve high-quality final images.

    Throughout the semester, students will refine their technical, creative, and critical skills, emphasizing creative thinking and problem-solving in 3D modeling.

    The objective is for students to achieve autonomy in their work, promoting discussion and guidance of projects in the classroom.
