Daniel Barroca and Catarina Laranjeiro (Film Screening – *Fire in the Wolf* 2023)
- Unal is a village of rice producers whose inhabitants played a decisive role in the liberation struggle of Guinea-Bissau against Portuguese colonialism. They were the first to engage in armed rebellion, mobilising their ancestral spirits for guerrilla warfare. To this day, every gesture in the rice cycle is haunted by memories of the war. A trauma inscribed in today’s rituals, bodies, landscapes, and techno music. An immersion into a blend of religious forms and political unrest, where war veterans coexist with restless youth, claiming their future in contemporary Guinea-Bissau.
- Winner of the INATEL Foundation Prize for Best Film on Cultural Practices and Traditions and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, DocLisboa 2023. Winner of the Special Jury Prize in the feature-length competition at the Apricot Tree International Documentary Film Festival, Debed, 2024.

Leonor Antunes
- Leonor Antunes (Lisbon, 1972) is a contemporary Portuguese artist based in Berlin. Her work explores the intersection between art, architecture and design, drawing inspiration from influential female figures of the 20th century. By measuring architectural and design elements, Antunes translates these measurements into unique sculptures, using materials such as rope, leather, cork, wood, brass and rubber. His practice not only honours traditional craftsmanship, but also invites visitors to establish a close relationship with his works, often defined as ‘sculptures created in space’. With exhibitions at renowned institutions such as the Serralves Museum and the Whitechapel Gallery, Antunes represents a distinctive voice in contemporary art, where the dialogue between objects and space reveals the aesthetic heritage of modernity and the transformative potential of sculpture.
