Class Research Methods in Clinical and Health Pyschology II

It is intended to provide students with a structured and in-depth contact with research methods and their relationship with data analysis, allowing them to acquire and develop solid knowledge and skills in scientific research in Clinical and Health Psychology.

Treatment features.      S2.3. Pre- and post-intervention assessment. S3. Data analysis:       S3.1. Quantitative data analysis:     - significance tests;      - statistical power;       - effect size;       S3.2. Qualitative data analysis:           - within and between cases analysis. S4. Interpretation of results:     S4.1. Meaning of results.     S4.2. absence of significant differences.     S4.3. Replication of results.     S4.4. Strengths and limitations of the study.     S4.5. Scientific and professional implications of results. S5. Dissemination of results:     S5.1. Preparation of scientific papers.     S5.2. Publication process.

Classes are theoretical-practical and based on the use of expositive and interrogative teaching methods, for presenting the topics and fostering students' participation, respectively. In order to consolidate the knowledge, the practice will be focused on problem-solving using a collaborative and blended learning approach. Emphasizing the practical aspect, the active method is privileged, through practical exercises focusing on the various stages of the analytical plan.
