    1ª Part: dissertation: Overview of the CU and faculty’s guidelines Analysis of existing research methods Literature review and search for sources Formulation of research problem and hypotheses Sample of relevant historical examples for the area of study Summary presentation by the students Classes overview and refining of the presentations 2ª Part: individual tutorial for the practical and conceptual final project

    - knowledge of the main strands of research methodology; - to master models and structure of scientific writing; - knowledge of contemporary tendencies in the area of study; - capacity to draft a research proposal. - to have a clear and coherent theme and structure for the elaboration of the práctical or theoretical project for the thesis

    Teaching methodologies

    Splitting the programme into two parts with two different teachers offers greater methodological richness regarding the objectives to be achieved. The screening of examples on the classes subject themes helps with the critical debate that we want to establish between teacher and student at this level of teaching and learning.

    As aulas serão expositivas e de debate do tema em análise, com recurso a documentos bibliográficos, aplicações digitais, material imagético, etc.

    The classes will be expository and discuss the topic under analysis, resorting to relevant bibliography, digital and image content, etc.

    A avaliação consiste numa memória descritiva da dissertação ou relatório de projeto, devendo incluir todos os elementos relevantes para o seu desenvolvimento.

    The evaluation will be based on a descriptive summary of the dissertation or project to be developed by the students.
