Approves the Regulation for Grant Allocation to Students Enrolled in Study Cycles Leading to Professional Teaching Qualifications.
The respective Regulation applies to:
- Public higher education institutions exclusively supervised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation
- and private higher education institutions.

You can now choose to study at your own pace and complete your master’s or doctoral degree on either a full-time or part-time basis.
This option is available for master’s and doctoral programmes worth 90 ECTS credits or more.
Tuition fees are calculated according to the number of ECTS credits in which you enrol.

Parking is free on the campus of Universidade Lusófona for all postgraduate, masters and doctoral students in the evening period. Read more

The Master's Degree in Computer Science Teaching aims to train computer science teachers for secondary education (teaching group 550), under the terms of the General Teacher Profile defined by Decree-Law no. 240/2001 of 30 August, taking a forward-looking view of the school and stimulating their permanent professional development in their multiple roles as teachers.

Entry requirements and conditions
In accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law No. 9-A/2025, of February 14, candidates for the study cycle leading to the Master¿s degree in Teaching Informatics must cumulatively meet the following requirements: Hold a higher education qualification, namely a bachelor¿s degree in Informatics or a related field, or a foreign higher academic degree legally recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor's degree (cf. Article 18, paragraph 4, subparagraph a)). Have obtained, in their previous academic background, the minimum credits required for this specialization, as set out in the annex to Decree-Law No. 79/2014, as amended by Decree-Law No. 9-A/2025: ¿ 120 ECTS in the field of Informatics (cf. annex, specialization no. 27). Demonstrate oral and written proficiency in the Portuguese language, as well as logical and critical reasoning skills. These will be assessed by Universidade Lusófona using its own methodology, which may include written and oral examinations, interviews, or other assessment tools (cf. Article 17, paragraphs 1 and 2). Applicants who have obtained at least 75% of the minimum training credits required for the specialization may also apply, provided that the remaining credits are completed concurrently with the master's program. It is the responsibility of the legally and statutorily competent body of Universidade Lusófona to define the curricular units to be attended in order to fully meet the required conditions (cf. Article 18, paragraphs 7 and 8).
