    The Scientific Residency in Sociomuseology is a program aimed at postgraduate students, researchers and teachers, oriented towards the study and development of projects, aiming to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of Museology in general and Sociomuseology in particular, preferably with field of observation and co-creation the Portuguese cultural reality. Each project will be accompanied by a tutor who holds a Doctor's Degree, and applications are permanently open. Successful completion of the Residency results in the awarding of a Certificate of Success.     Admission Conditions

    The request to carry out a Scientific Residency in Sociomuseology must be addressed to the Directorate of Coordination of the PhD Program in Museology at ULusofona, with identification document, certificates attesting to the degree holder, Curriculum vitae, date and intended duration and residency project containing the objectives and activities to be developed. Applications are open permanently. Documentation must be sent directly to the course Secretariat.

    Objectives

    Academic experience with a high rate of internationalization and with numerous protocols with academia and museum institutions, contact with teaching staff made up of academics, researchers and professionals in the field, with recognized competence, who, in addition to teaching, scientifically monitor research projects implemented in the study program. Possibility of monitoring programmatic contents that cover current scientific and technical knowledge, aiming to increase the quality of professional practice, research in Museology and heritage and increase specific knowledge in this scientific area, connected with contemporary sociocultural issues and the problems inherent to the exercise of the profession, which ensures the transmission of fundamental knowledge of museology, exploring specific themes and with a level of in-depth knowledge appropriate to the study cycle.

    Who is this course for?

    - Holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent; - Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process; - Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, which is recognized as meeting the objectives of the degree by the scientific committee of the study cycle; - In duly justified cases, candidates who present an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that the scientific committee of the study cycle recognizes as being capable of undertaking its implementation may access the Scientific Residency Program
