The 16th CeiED Researchers' Meeting took place on 9 and 10 July 2026 at the José Araújo Auditorium, at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre, in a hybrid format. The event brought together researchers, lecturers and students to reflect on diversity in doctoral education and its impact on the production of scientific knowledge.
Throughout the sessions, participants discussed the challenges arising from the growing diversity of doctoral students' backgrounds, social contexts, experiences and linguistic profiles. The meeting highlighted the importance of inclusion and epistemic pluralism as key drivers of research excellence and advanced education, promoting a broader understanding of contemporary science.
The programme also addressed topics such as open science, cognitive justice, institutional responsibility and equal opportunities, reinforcing the role of higher education institutions in creating more inclusive, collaborative and socially relevant academic environments.
