Conference with Marcio Doctors inspires debate between art and heritage
The art critic was invited to the 4th edition of the Great Artists on Campus series, in a conference on the role of art in the contemporary world

Marcio Doctors, Brazilian art critic, curator, and writer, was invited to the 4th edition of the Great Artists on Campus series, which took place on 21 October 2025, at the Fernando Lopes Cinema. Promoted by the School of Communication, Arts and Information Technologies (ECATI) of Lusófona University, the event featured several personal reflections by the artist, fostering dialogue between contemporary art, nature, and historical heritage.
With a career marked by curatorships in institutions such as the Museu do Açude and the Eva Klabin House Museum, Marcio Doctors shared his experience with students and lecturers, raising critical questions about the role of art in today’s world.
