Cinema Fernando Lopes welcomed artist Tatiana Macedo for a dialogue about the creative process and the relationship between art and sound
18.11.25 - 11h36The artist Tatiana Macedo presented the session In and Out of the Frame at the Cinema Fernando Lopes, as part of the Great Artists on Campus series. Before students, lecturers, and guests, she shared her creative journey and reflected on the intersection between art, sound, and cultural identity.
During the event, the film Seems So Long Ago, Nancy (2012) was screened, shot at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, which addresses the presence and the body of museum guards. The work was distinguished with the SAW Film Prize by the American Anthropological Association and shown internationally at festivals and museums.
With a two-decade career in photography, the essay film, installation, and sound, Tatiana Macedo has been recognised with awards and grants from institutions such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Oriente Foundation, and her work is part of national and international museum collections.
The Great Artists on Campus series continues to establish itself as a meeting space between contemporary art and academic reflection, promoting dialogue between creators and the community of Lusófona University.
