On 16 October 2025, Lusófona University celebrated World Food Day with the event “Plant-Based Foods: Science with Flavour”, entirely dedicated to nutrition, health, and environmental sustainability.

The morning began with the hands-on workshop “Plant-Based Diet”, organised in partnership with APDP, where participants prepared their own meals and tasted the results, exploring the benefits of a balanced and mindful diet.

In the afternoon, the CBIOS Scientific Session took place, featuring Prof. Dr Rosane Griep from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Brazil), who presented the ELSA-Brasil Study, one of the largest longitudinal studies on adult health in Latin America.

The day concluded with a showcooking and tasting dedicated to the theme “How to replace meat in a healthy way”, offering a practical and inspiring experience on sustainable food choices, aligned with global goals for promoting health, education, and climate action.
