Honoris Causa Doctorate from the Commander of the Order of Business Merit António Saraiva.
06.12.22 - 12h25The Lusófona University - Campus Universitário de Lisboa, awarded the Honoris Causa Doctorate to Commander António Manuel Frade Saraiva, one of the most notable figures of social consultation, having proactively contributed to the development of essential components of the democratic system.
p>This award honors his life path and recognizes his effort, dedication and impact on the recovery of the Portuguese economy, namely through the creation of new jobs, innovation and the implementation of Portuguese products in new markets, throughout his presidency at the Portuguese Business Confederation (CIP).
The event had a special message from His Excellency the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the honorable presence of the Prime Minister António Costa and also with the interventions of Professor Doctor Manuel de Almeida Damásio (Chairman of the Board of Directors from COFAC), Professor Mário Caneva Moutinho (Rector of Lusófona University) and his Academic Godfather, Professor Luís Reto.
The session ended with the intervention of the most recent Doctor Honoris Causa, Professor António Manuel Frade Saraiva, who recalled some episodes from his childhood in the Alentejo, as well as his experience as chairman of the Lisnave Workers' Commission, defining it as "a bridge builder".
