Journalist Sérgio Furtado shares a Lesson in Courage with Lusófona
The CNN reporter gave an inspiring account of his work on the front line of the war in Ukraine.
25.10.23 - 09h00On 25 October, between 10am and 12.30pm, in the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium, Sérgio Furtado, the reporter who has been on the ground the longest since the start of the war in Ukraine, shared his testimony and experience as a professional in the field.
The CNN Portugal journalist has worked in television and radio. He was recently awarded the 'Mário Mesquita Journalism Prize' for his "courage, rigour and keen sense of communication".
Through conferences such as this, Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário de Lisboa aims to provide its students and teachers, from the Higher Education courses in Communication and Journalism, as well as Communication Sciences, with a moment of motivation and introspection, stressing the importance of excellence in teaching.
