Lusófona University Highlighted at International Conference on Natural Products
Patrícia Rijo represented the institution with a scientific intervention, session moderation and presentation of CBIOS research
01.04.26 - 10h51Lusófona University was highlighted at the PSE Meeting – Phytochemicals as Drugs, Foods and Biocommunicators, held from 22 to 24 October 2025, in Funchal, Madeira, through the participation of researcher Patrícia Rijo.
A lecturer and researcher at CBIOS, Patrícia Rijo was invited to deliver a Plenary Lecture entitled “Plectranthus Phytochemicals: A Sustainable Pathway to One Health Solutions”, highlighting the contribution of research carried out at Lusófona University in the field of natural products and the One Health approach.
In addition to the plenary lecture, she was part of the event’s scientific committee and moderated a session, further reinforcing the international recognition of her work. During the meeting, three posters presenting results from the CBIOS Bio.Natural Lab were also showcased, highlighting research projects developed at the institution.
Participation in PSE 2025 reaffirms Lusófona University’s role in the production of scientific knowledge and in promoting sustainable solutions in the field of health, contributing to the advancement of research in natural products at an international level.
