Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre hosted the debate “CitySenZ – Raising Awareness of European Cities for the New European Bauhaus” on 12 June, bringing together participants both in person and online to discuss new ways of understanding and transforming urban spaces.

The event began with the screening of a documentary produced within the framework of COST Action CA23145, presenting the CitySenZ project as a living laboratory dedicated to exploring the sensory qualities of European cities. Through elements such as sound, light, microclimates, and everyday practices, the film demonstrated how lived experience can contribute to the creation of more sustainable, inclusive, and aesthetically enriched urban environments, in line with the principles of the New European Bauhaus.

Following the screening, a participatory debate took place involving specialists, researchers, and citizens, both in the auditorium and via Microsoft Teams. The contributions and insights gathered during the session, including comments shared online, will support the ongoing work of the COST Action, reinforcing the role of civil society in shaping discussions about the future of European cities.
