Lusófona University Open Day for the Faculties of Law, Psychology and Sport

Lusófona University - Porto University Centre held another session of its Open Day for Academic Units on 23 May, an initiative aimed at secondary school students, parents and guardians, with the purpose of showcasing its academic offer and providing insight into higher education.

Throughout the various sessions, the programme was organised by faculty and spread across different dates. This particular session focused on the areas of the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FDCP), the Faculty of Psychology and Education (FPE), and the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education (FDEF).

Several institutional services supporting academic mobility were also presented.

Tânia Abreu, representing Internships, Employability and Lifelong Learning (EVA), explained that the Open Day “is important in helping prospective students become familiar with the University's internal services”, highlighting the role of this department in creating opportunities.

She also noted that EVA develops partnerships with external organisations, such as Porto City Council and law firms, contributing to the creation of collaboration and learning opportunities.

These initiatives seek to respond to a growing interest among students, who are not always aware of the support available to them.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the campus facilities, discover the wide range of programmes on offer, and clarify any questions with members of the academic community from each area.
