Career Opportunities
The 1st Cycle | Degree in Physical Education and Sport: i) Enables the exercise of the role of teacher of physical activity and sports in the context of curriculum enrichment activities - AECS (Order No. 12 591/2006 (2nd grade)). ii) Qualifies to obtain the Professional Title of Coach / Physical Exercise issued by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), a necessary condition for professional performance in gyms, gyms or health clubs (Law No. 39/2012, August 28). iii) It is recognized by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) as equivalent to the general training component (grades I and II) to obtain the Professional Title of Sports Coach (TPTD), necessary for the coach functions. Additionally, for ULP students who have completed the 1st cycle of studies in Physical Education and Sport, Sports Training- Football Branch, the training for a Grade I Football coach (UEFA-C) and General Training for Grade II football coach (UEFA- B partial), with favorable opinion from the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and approved by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ).

Students will be able to proceed to 2nd cycle studies | Master's degree in a specialization area of your preference in the field of Sport, with the 2nd Cycle available at Universidade Lusófona do Porto | Master in Exercise and Health and Sports Training in Football.

Infrastructure and Equipment
Universidade Lusófona do Porto offers a variety of resources to support learning, from physical resources (classrooms with multimedia equipment, library, ICT resources, pedagogical and scientific equipment, support rooms for tutorial guidance and technological work center). With regard to specific facilities for the teaching of Curricular Units of a practical nature, such as Football Field, Multidisciplinary and Monodisciplinary Pavilions, Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, etc.) are guaranteed through protocols with the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto City Hall and Sports Clubs of reference.
