This honour reflects the talent and commitment of Rúben, a student on the first edition of the Actor Training Degree at the Department of Cinema and Media Arts at Lusófona University
The film is yet another example of the emerging talent on the Portuguese film scene, with Rúben Simões, as a student at Lusófona University, demonstrating great skill and dedication. His nomination reinforces the University's commitment to training highly qualified professionals, prepared to excel in the creative and film industries.
Vadio, directed by Simão Cayatte, tells the story of André, a 13-year-old boy who lives in isolation in a remote region of the Alentejo with his father, who works drilling water wells. The routine of André, who doesn't attend school, is shaken when his father mysteriously disappears, forcing him to seek help from his only neighbour, Sandra, a young mother.
