Lusófona University received, on 10 November 2025, the workshop Implementation Science in the Promotion of Physical Activity in Clinical Settings, led by the international specialist Prof. Mark Stoutenberg.
In a context where chronic diseases continue to rise, the workshop focused on the essential role of implementation science in bringing together healthcare professionals, clinical structures, and community resources. Over the course of three hours, participants explored strategies to integrate physical activity into clinical practice through more effective and sustainable exercise prescriptions.
The programme included interactive presentations, group exercises, case studies, and an open sharing forum. Among the topics discussed were the development of action plans adapted to the clinical context, the building of partnerships between clinics and communities, and the evaluation of the impact of physical activity promotion initiatives.
The event brought together healthcare professionals, researchers, and students interested in strengthening the link between science, clinical practice, and active physical behaviour.
