Young Summit: Inspiring Future Leaders

As part of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Curriculum Unit and the Yes initiative, the Young Summit event was held for the entire Lusófona University - CUP community. This event aims to promote the stories and experiences of entrepreneurs and businesspeople among students, bringing them closer to the labour market.

The seminar had two separate sessions. In the morning, the round table was made up of Nurse Ana Sofia Costa, Dr Bruno Amaro, Dr Cristina Garcia, Dr Cristina Lima, Dr Gilberto Santos, Mr Hugo Teixeira and Dr Nuno Cruz. In the afternoon, the speakers were Carlos Soares, Pedro Elavai, Pedro Miranda and the President of the Academic Association.

These speakers, all examples of success in the entrepreneurship market, shared their perspectives on the increasingly competitive market environment, especially with the advent of artificial intelligence. They emphasised the importance of digital marketing and addressed the key factors that an entrepreneur should always take into consideration, including work-life balance. They emphasised the importance of GRIT as an essential characteristic for a good entrepreneur.

It was mentioned that the world of work is constantly changing and that it is crucial to know how to adapt. One example of this change is digital nomadism, in which professionals work remotely while travelling, representing a new branch of entrepreneurship.

The event provided Lusófona University students with a unique opportunity to acquire practical and inspiring knowledge about entrepreneurship. The experiences shared by the speakers gave them a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of today's labour market, preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
