Hello, I'm Nuno Araújo, a second-year student on the Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design and Production. I chose this course because, from a very young age, I was exposed to fashion design and sewing, mainly due to my grandmother, who always worked in the field, and I developed a passion for sewing and garment making. I chose Lusófona University because, among the options available to me, it was the one that best matched my expectations, and so far everything has been going exactly as I hoped.

In the first year, we completed an upcycling fashion design project in which we had to transform a piece of furniture into a garment. I really enjoyed that project because it was something different and not something that is normally done in everyday life. I think it was very interesting to develop, create and think through. The advice I would give is to be patient, because we always come with certain expectations and sometimes not everything will meet those expectations.

Stay calm, because nowadays fashion is booming and it's the trend. People think that studying fashion is all sunshine and rainbows, but that's not really the case. There is a great deal of work behind what we do, so it's important to come prepared for that reality. You need to put a lot of work into achieving the results you want and obtaining good outcomes.
