Master's Degree in Education Sciencies
Hello, my name is Rita Fidalgo, and I am a student on the Master’s in Educational Sciences, specialising in Pedagogical Supervision and Trainer Training.
I chose this master’s degree to deepen my knowledge of education and to open up new opportunities, particularly the possibility of teaching in higher education or, perhaps, pursuing a career in research, which is also something I value.
The experience that made the greatest impression on me during this master’s degree was undoubtedly the opportunity to publish my first article, as well as to participate in an international conference, something I had been hoping to do for quite some time.
Of course, I cannot fail to mention the relationships I built with the teaching staff, because I believe that is also something I will take away from this experience. These were relationships based on closeness, mutual support and constant encouragement. The lecturers have undoubtedly become role models for the professional I aspire to become in the future.
The biggest challenge I faced throughout this master’s degree was undoubtedly time management, as I was working full-time while also attending university classes on Fridays and Saturdays. However, I was able to overcome this challenge with the support of the lecturers and their willingness to accommodate our schedules. As a result, what initially seemed like a challenge ultimately became a journey that was much easier to navigate.
To students considering applying for this master’s degree, I would offer the following advice: be yourselves and always ask any questions you may have. The lecturers are extremely approachable, so share any doubts or concerns you might have and do not be afraid to speak up. Above all, choose this master’s degree, because it offers valuable lifelong learning experiences that are relevant to all professionals in the field of education.
