This option is available for master’s and doctoral programmes worth 90 ECTS credits or more.
Tuition fees are calculated according to the number of ECTS credits in which you enrol.

What will I learn in this course?
The two-year (four semesters) master's program of studies in Educational Sciences consists of a mandatory common core and two specializations. While the common core aims at in-depth training, in transversal subjects of Education Sciences, the specializations (from the 2nd semester) are directed towards a personalized selection, corresponding to the interests, motivations and personal and professional paths of the target audience. Therefore, in the Master of Science in Education, students will be able to choose between the following areas of specialization: i) Pedagogical Supervision and Training of Trainers; ii) Educational Administration. The second year includes the Research and Dissertation Seminar, with specific guidance, reinforcing the tutorial and online monitoring, in order to respond to the students' pedagogical needs and to deepen the research process. The following may apply for the Master's Degree: a) People who hold a B.A. or equivalent degree; b) People who hold a foreign academic degree awarded after a 1st study cycle organized according to the Bologna Process by a member state of that process; c) People who hold a foreign academic degree acknowledged as a degree satisfying the objectives of the graduate degree by the due body; d) People who have a school, scientific or professional curriculum acknowledged by the due body of ULP certifying the capacity to obtain this study cycle.

- Substantiate and update scientific, pedagogical and technical knowledge; - Deepen knowledge and reflection skills, with regard to the models of School Administration and Pedagogical Supervision and Training of Trainers; - Develop in students procedural skills of critical analysis, intervention and evaluation; - Develop skills and competences of application of organizational processes and models, in educational and training contexts of administration and pedagogical supervision; - To deepen competences of construction, dynamization and evaluation of educational and investigative projects, aiming at improving the quality in Educational Sciences.

Given the objectives set for this master's course (organized into two areas of specialization), the professional outputs are directed towards functions of: - Pedagogical and administrative direction and management in educational institutions; - Pedagogical coordination, within the scope of class management and school and vocational guidance; - Guidance and supervision of the initial and continuous training of educators and teachers; - Coordination and consultancy of curricular and support projects and activities in specific curricular areas of all educational levels.

Infrastructure and Equipment
The Universidade Lusófona do Porto (ULP) has didactic and scientific equipment and materials essential for the proper teaching of this Master, including: fixed and portable video projectors, desktop PCs, laptops, video cameras; sound recorders. It also has in mind aspects related to safety and the environment, as well as specific needs of disabled students, tutoring support, supervision and counselling, promoting the respective publicity among students. The ULP also has its own physical facilities that ensure a space specifically for the teaching part of this study cycle and spaces to support the personal work to be done by each of the students. There are adequate facilities for the teaching of this Master's Degree, namely: - Rooms and auditoriums for the theoretical classes in a classroom context; - Lecture rooms; - Two rooms for tutorial support and individual work; - Library (with digital platform); - Group study room and individual study room within the library; - Research room; -Furnished room with computers (Technological Work Centre); - Three computer labs.
