Hello, my name is Samira and I'm from Bulgaria.
I'm studying Business Management at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre. My university has a partnership with Lusófona University, and I had to choose between Porto and Lisbon. I chose Lisbon because it seemed like an amazing city and because the courses suited my interests. So, I felt it was the right choice.
My classes have been going really well. I really like the Tourism Department – I think it's the best – and I've been enjoying the classes a lot.
I also feel that the university is very welcoming to Erasmus students. They organised events and everything, so I've really enjoyed it so far. It's been an easy experience.
The university made all the information very clear, so I didn't face any major difficulties. Everything has gone smoothly, and I wouldn't say I've had any significant challenges.
The advice I would give is to try to learn a little Portuguese because, at some point, if you want to talk to your classmates and make friends, it really helps to know the language. Some people are a bit shy about speaking English.
