Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Master's Degree in Social Work and Social Policy

My name is José Rodrigues. I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and am currently studying for a Master's Degree in Social Work and Social Policy at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre.

Throughout my Bachelor's Degree, I had the opportunity to develop not only theoretical knowledge but also important skills for my future career, particularly through the second- and third-year placements, which brought us closer to the situations we will encounter in the labour market.

It was a very enriching experience, both academically and personally. It was also because I felt that I still had a lot to learn that I decided to continue my studies with a Master's Degree in Social Work and Social Policy.

I recommend the course to anyone who is interested in the social field, enjoys working directly with people and wants to play an active role in supporting those in situations of greater vulnerability. Being a social worker is, above all, about being there for others, listening, understanding and working together with people to find ways of addressing their difficulties, promoting their autonomy and dignity, and contributing to an effective transformation of their living conditions.
