PhD in Media Arts and Communication
I am Sara, and I have been a lecturer at Lusófona University since 2021. I am pursuing a PhD in Media Arts, and at the moment, I am teaching subjects such as research and modelling.
I joined Lusófona because I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in Fashion Design at the University of Castelo Branco, at ESART, and I had a coordinator, Professor Alexandra Cruchinho, who encouraged me to join the bachelor's programme in Lisbon and later invited me to teach there as well.
My project aims to develop a performance related to fashion, with a focus on consumption, usage, and multimedia engagement.
Future plans: finish the PhD and continue being happy teaching at Lusófona.
Fashion is not always seen as a course that people choose as their first option, but I think once people get to know it and join the programme, they realise that fashion is a field that connects many areas.
Fashion at Lusófona because it's the best and has the coolest professors!
