Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
We invite all those interested in the intersections between neuroscience, cognition, and education to take part in this webinar led by Lucimar Dantas (CeiED) and Jorge Oliveira (HEI-Lab).
This webinar aims to briefly discuss the relationships between brain, mind, and education from an interdisciplinary perspective, framed within the field of educational neuroscience. Emphasis will be placed on the neural mechanisms that support learning in school contexts, with a discussion of the cognitive factors that influence the teaching and learning process.
The Master’s in Cognitive Science and Education will also be presented. This is a second-cycle programme with 120 ECTS credits and a duration of four semesters, offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Administration and the School of Psychology and Life Sciences at Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre. The course stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, exploring the interaction between cognitive sciences and education, with a particular focus on learning processes in school settings.
During the webinar, the admission requirements and selection criteria will be outlined, as well as the curriculum and operational framework of the programme. The session aims to clarify any questions and support prospective candidates in making an informed decision about this innovative course, which prepares professionals to meet the current challenges of the education system with critical thinking based on the latest research and scientific evidence.
