Affiliation of a Scientific Paper
Affiliation of a paper The affiliation of a scientific paper makes it possible to identify the institution where the author worked (or studied, in the case of master's or doctoral students) and for which he or she carried out the research work. Along with authorship, affiliation makes the institution responsible for the scientific document.
Filling in affiliations correctly in Pure is important for the quality of the information presented on the Lusófona University Research Portal.
When we enter the authorship in the “Contributors and affiliations” field, all the organic units with which the researcher is associated appear. You should choose the one that is appropriate for the scientific work you are working on. In this example it will be CICANT and not ECATI (in the case illustrated, you will have to press edit to select only CICANT).
The ECATI option will be deleted and CICANT will remain. Click on “Update” to save the changes.
The ECATI option will be deleted and CICANT will remain. Click on “Update” to save the changes. Next, in this case, change the “Publication Managed by/managing organisational unit” field by clicking on “Change organisational unit”, and select the desired unit - in this case CICANT.
If the scientific work was carried out at an external institution, the institution must be entered, as in the following example, using the “Edit” option.
Search for the desired institution, select it and click on “Update”.
Always save your changes.
