Green Lusófona

One of Universidade Lusófona's environmental goals has been to make the campus greener and more sustainable. In this sense, over the last few years the University has implemented environmental measures such as recycling points, installing a production unit for self-consumption and promoting awareness-raising actions with a view to changing attitudes and behaviours. In this context, the goal is to implement even more environmental measures and make the Campus greener and more sustainable.

In this context, the aim is to implement even more environmental measures and make the campus more sustainable. In this context, the Faculty of Engineering formalised its application to the Eco-Schools programme in 2021. This project is being developed by an Eco-Council made up of students, teachers and employees from the Faculty of Engineering and the University's central services, coordinated by professors Joana Lage and Elisabete Maurício.

The aim is to involve the entire academic community, acting through the implementation of improvement and environmental awareness actions. Several actions will be carried out over the course of this semester, with the collaboration and active participation of students, teachers and staff. The main areas of intervention will be energy, water, waste, outdoor spaces and air quality.
