1. The following elements must be submitted when formalizing the application:
- Certificates of Qualifications
- Curriculum Vitae:
- PDF document generated through the platform of the national curriculum management system Ciência Vitae (https://cienciavitae.pt) OR
- pdf document organized according to the curricular elements of the Ciência Vitae: 1. identification; 2. training; 3. professional career; 4. research and/or professional projects; 5. scientific production (books, book chapters, scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, articles in the proceedings of peer-reviewed scientific and/or professional conferences); 6. other activities and other curricular elements.
- Pilot idea project for an empirical study within the scope of the doctorate;
- pdf document with the pilot idea project, a model of which should be requested by emailing the course secretariat: carla.madeira@ulusofona.pt
- It should be noted that this pilot idea project is aimed exclusively at assessing the candidate's scientific maturity. The pilot idea project is not binding on the research work to be carried out during the study cycle, since the candidates admitted will be integrated into the research lines of the teaching team.
- Motivation letter in which the candidate presents the main reasons for their application and highlights how attending the doctorate fits in with their training path and career prospects.
- Copy of identification document.
2. Candidates will be ranked according to the score obtained in the selection process. The following criteria will be used:
Candidates with classification from previous qualification:
- Classification of previous qualification (45%);
- Pilot idea project for an empirical study within the scope of the doctorate (22.5%);
- CV and motivation letter (15%);
- Oral discussion Written project of a pilot idea for an empirical study within the scope of the doctorate (17.5%).
Candidates without a previous qualification:
- CV and letter of motivation (40%);
- Project of a pilot idea for an empirical study within the scope of the doctorate (60%).
NOTE: The selection panel will conduct an interview with the admitted candidates, for the sole purpose of clarifying the elements contained in the application. The interviews will take place prior to the selection board meeting to decide on the candidates at the application stage. Candidates will be informed at least 5 days in advance of the date and conditions under which the interviews will take place.
