Presentation
Presentation
This course unit takes a cross-disciplinary approach that seeks to integrate, in educational provision aimed at the general public (specialised or otherwise), the diverse and undeniable points of contact and tension between two different and extremely important areas of institutionalised social normativity: Law and Religion. This is achieved through a philosophically mediated approach, drawing on objectives, content and methodologies capable of promoting critical thinking as a form of engagement that underpins the dialogical relationship underlying socially responsible teaching.

Assessment methodologies: Teaching will have a theoretical component, complemented by a practical aspect, always with the aim of stimulating critical thinking in each of the issues addressed. In this context, students will be encouraged to approach problems from the perspective of their everyday relevance, i.e., considering their impact on individual lives and the social environment. Students will be assessed on a continuous basis, without prejudice to the application of other instruments provided for in the general assessment regulations of Universidade Lusófona.
