This option is available for master’s and doctoral programmes worth 90 ECTS credits or more.
Tuition fees are calculated according to the number of ECTS credits in which you enrol.

Parking is free on the campus of Universidade Lusófona for all postgraduate, masters and doctoral students in the evening period. Read more

Entry requirements and conditions
You can apply for the cycle of studies leading to a master's degree: a) holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent; b) holders of a foreign academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process by a State adhering to that process; c) holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognised as satisfying the objectives of a bachelor's degree by the statutorily competent body; d) holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognised by the competent statutory body of Centro Universitário Lusófona - Lisboa as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies.

This programme and the methodologies used in both its components: theoretical-practical (1st year) and an intervention in a specific educational situation (2nd year), aim to develop the following skills: -to reflect on the professional issues in which you are involved; -to question educational situations according to the participants and context; -to acquire concepts fundamental to the socio-educational work; -to adequately characterize specific situations using methods of data collection and analysis with scientific accuracy; -to assess the work that has been achieved in light of the initial objectives; -to work as a member of a team. The methodologies and the assessment system are designed to permanently guide you towards the attainment of these goals.

Accreditation registration number of the Scientific and Pedagogical Council for Continuing Teacher Education: CCPFC/CFE-3868/26 (as a training course). For the purposes set forth in Article 8(1) of Decree-Law No. 22/2014, of February 11, as currently in force, this program counts toward career advancement for preschool teachers and elementary and secondary school teachers. Candidates wishing to apply for recruitment group 910 (special education: cognitive and motor domains) must, as of the date of admission to the course, meet the requirements set forth in the legal framework for specialized training, namely that they ¿be early childhood educators, elementary school teachers, or secondary school teachers who are certified and have at least five years of teaching experience,¿ pursuant to Article 4(2) of Decree-Law No. 95/97, of April 23. Part-time program. Classes begin: September 29, 2026 (students will receive the calendar and information regarding the start of the academic year for the Institute of Education¿s programs). Language of instruction: Portuguese
