Meeting Promotes Leadership, Cooperation and Resilience, Strengthening Staff Recognition and Team Well-being

As part of the promotion of a more collaborative, inclusive and participatory organisational culture, the 2nd Meeting with the Team Leaders of Lusófona University's Cleaning Services was held. The initiative reinforced the institution's commitment to the recognition and appreciation of its staff and to creating working environments based on cooperation, respect and human development.
The meeting provided an opportunity for reflection and discussion on the challenges of leadership in a professional context. The session featured Professor Paulo Sargento, who led a session dedicated to key topics for positive and effective leadership.
The topics addressed included «Competing or Cooperating», «Good Stress and Bad Stress», «Resilience» and «Leadership and Management». The discussion focused on the importance of cooperation within teams, healthy stress management, the ability to adapt to challenges, and the development of relationships based on trust, motivation and well-being.
The initiative also highlighted the importance of continuous training and the recognition and development of middle management, as essential elements in building more cohesive, resilient teams committed to the quality of the service provided.
The meeting is part of the Participatory and Intercultural Meetings series, organised by Professor Hélia Bracons, which seeks to strengthen communication and cooperation between teams, promoting a more inclusive and participatory organisational culture.
Through these initiatives, Lusófona University reaffirms its commitment to human development, well-being and the recognition and appreciation of its staff, recognising the role of people in building a more cohesive and socially responsible academic community.
