Collaboration Protocol between Lusófona University and the Ordem dos Engenheiros
Strengthening cooperation in the areas of education, professional development and continuing education

Lusófona University and the Ordem dos Engenheiros signed, on 16 July 2026, a Collaboration Protocol establishing institutional cooperation in the areas of education, professional development and continuing education. The agreement strengthens the existing collaboration between the two institutions, broadening the areas of cooperation and promoting new forms of connection between academia and professional practice.
The protocol reflects a joint commitment to promoting quality in higher education and preparing professionals capable of responding to the challenges and demands of the engineering profession. It also represents a strategic alliance for the advancement of engineering and the strengthening of national engineering, recognising its contribution to the country's scientific, technological and economic development.
The protocol was signed at Lusófona University and was attended by Jorge Liça, Vice-President of the Ordem dos Engenheiros; António Carias de Sousa, President of the Regional Board of the Southern Region; Manuel de Almeida Damásio, Chairman of the Board of Directors; José Bragança de Miranda, Rector; and Francisco Faria Ferreira, Member of the Board of Directors.
