Faculty of Engineering Develops Its Eco-Code Through Eco-Schools
Students Contribute to Principles Promoting Responsible Environmental Practices
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
As part of the Eco-Schools programme, the Faculty of Engineering at Lusófona University has developed its Eco-Code, a set of principles that reflects the academic community's commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
The Eco-Code was developed through a participatory process, with contributions from students of the Faculty of Engineering, who were invited to submit their proposals via an online form. Following the selection of the most representative statements, the final poster was produced, bringing together the Faculty's environmental values and commitments.
As one of the seven fundamental steps of the Eco-Schools methodology, the Eco-Code constitutes a statement of intent that encourages the adoption of good environmental practices and contributes to promoting a culture of sustainability throughout the academic community.
