Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Eduarda Abbondanza, President of the ModaLisboa Association and a key figure in Portuguese fashion, took part in the 5th edition of Great Artists on Campus on 24 March, at Cinema Fernando Lopes, at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre.
Throughout the conference, Eduarda Abbondanza shared her professional journey and the creative vision that has shaped her work in the Portuguese fashion sector, also highlighting some of the challenges currently faced in contemporary creation, particularly in the areas of innovation and sustainability. The session revisited different moments of her career, from her training in Fashion Design at CITEM to the beginning, in 1984, of her partnership with Mário Matos Ribeiro, with whom she created the Abbondanza/Matos Ribeiro brand and developed projects across fashion, cinema and theatre.
In 1991, she founded ModaLisboa, one of the most significant projects in Portuguese fashion. The initiative has played an important role in promoting designers and new approaches to fashion, while also bringing students closer to key references and experiences within the sector.
