Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
A group of 20 students from the undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology, and Internal Security Studies at the Faculty of Law, together with representatives from AADUL, the Criminology Students’ Association, and ELSA, took part in a study visit to Carregueira Prison on 10 April.
Under the coordination of Professor Paulo Sargento, the visit contributed to the development of knowledge about prison institutions and, above all, promoted an experiential and reflective activity on criminal measures, their enforcement, and the professionals involved.
The visit was guided by the prison director, Joana Rodrigues, accompanied by a team of professionals who, in a welcoming manner and with outstanding pedagogical quality, answered all the students’ questions, contributing decisively to the success of the study visit.
