ULusófona Law School welcomes new students for a new chapter

The Opening Session introduced new students to the degree programmes, academic associations and support resources available at the University

The Law School of Lusófona University welcomed new students on 7 September at an Opening Session held in the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium at the Lisbon University Centre. The initiative marked the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year and gave students their first introduction to the structure of their degree programmes, the teaching staff, academic associations and the resources available at the University.

The session began with the reception of new students and the distribution of welcome kits, followed by presentations from the Directors of the Law, Criminology and Internal Security Studies degree programmes. The programme also included a musical and poetry performance, featuring Maestro Silvestre Fonseca on classical guitar and Dr Luís Natal Marques and Dr João Constantino reciting poetry.

During the presentation of the University community, students were also introduced to the academic associations, Support Offices and the various platforms and resources available to support them throughout their academic journey. The session concluded with remarks from the Director of the Law School, Professor José de Faria Costa, followed by a performance by Lusófona University’s Tuna and a guided tour of the Campus.
