On October 8, 2024, the Fernando Lopes Cinema at the Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre hosted another session of the Great Artists on Campus II Conference Series, organised by the Department of Cinema and Media Arts (DCAM). The event featured Vasco Araújo, a renowned Portuguese visual artist, who presented his conference/performance titled *Anthology - Under the Influence of Uranus*.

Vasco Araújo has established an international career from an early stage, participating in artist residencies such as Récollets in Paris (2005) and the Core Program in Houston (2003/04). In 2003, he received the prestigious EDP Young Artists Award, which further propelled his visibility in the contemporary art scene. Since then, he has been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Portugal and abroad.

During the conference, Vasco Araújo presented a selection of excerpts from his works produced between 2000 and 2020. Through a performative approach, the artist connected this anthology with a secondary text comprised of questions that challenge and re-evaluate his work in light of the influence of Uranus, the planet symbolising innovation, change, and breaking away from established norms in astrology. The artist explored how humans, like the planet Uranus, can break conventions and drive transformation through art.

This event aligns directly with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 - Quality Education, by promoting access to high-level artistic and cultural discussions, fostering critical thinking and creativity, which are essential for building more inclusive and sustainable societies.
