Hybrid event in Lisbon and Porto marks the integration of new lecturers and researchers at Lusófona University for the 2025/2026 academic year

On 3 September 2025, Lusófona University held the Welcome and Integration Session for new lecturers and researchers for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The hybrid meeting took place at the José Araújo Auditorium (Lisbon) and Room 0.5 (Porto), with online broadcasting. Representatives from the administration, rectorate and several academic units of the institution were present.
The session opened with a presentation by the Talent Management Directorate, followed by a talk from COFAC’s Administrator, Professor Manuel Damásio, who highlighted the organisation’s vision, mission, values and future challenges. The Rector of Lusófona University, Professor José Bragança de Miranda, emphasised the expected contributions of the new lecturers and researchers.
Throughout the morning, topics such as institutional integration, training initiatives, practical aspects of daily life, mobility programmes, research and development, bibliographic resources, as well as campus safety issues were addressed.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, the formal closing, and a guided tour conducted by the Public Relations Office, with the participation of the Executive Administrator of Lusófona University - Porto University Centre, Dr Natália Pereira.
