Lusófona University researchers at European meeting on medicinal plants
Lusófona University strengthens its presence in European scientific networks on medicinal plants and natural products

The Centre for Research in Biosciences and Health Technologies (CBIOS) will be represented from 7 to 9 May 2026 at the meeting of the European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy (ESCOP), in Andernach, Germany, by academic staff member Patrícia Rijo and Maria do Céu Costa, President and Vice-President of the Portuguese Society of Phytochemistry (SPFito), respectively.
Participation in this European meeting, dedicated to research into and the use of medicinal plants and natural products, forms part of the scientific activity of CBIOS in this area. The programme also includes a visit to Finzelberg, a company specialising in the development and production of botanical extracts, providing an opportunity to engage with the sector and with research applied to natural products.
