Partnership between ULusófona and PolyU promotes research into natural products
The international collaboration between CBIOS and Hong Kong Polytechnic University focuses on the study of Alzheimer’s disease and inflammation

Researchers Patrícia Rijo and Elizabeth Lopes visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), marking the start of a scientific partnership focused on research into natural products.
Following this visit, Simon Lee, a researcher at PolyU, travelled to CBIOS – Centre for Research in Biosciences and Health Technologies at Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre, on 21 November 2025. The visit included a joint seminar, a tour of the Bio.Natural lab and the exchange of samples for research into Alzheimer’s and inflammation, with a presentation of posters prepared by Master’s students.
