Presentation of the Career of Air Traffic Controller

On 21 November, Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário de Lisboa had the pleasure of welcoming Pedro Matos to the José Araújo Auditorium to speak at the seminar 'Introducing the Career of an Air Traffic Controller'.

Ensuring the safety and efficiency of air traffic involves identifying potential dangers, authorising the movement of aircraft in accordance with air traffic rules and providing information and instructions to pilots. These are all functions of great responsibility which, without a shadow of a doubt, play a vital role in the smooth running of civil aviation. 

Through the contribution of Pedro Matos, a professional since 1998, with work experience at the Santa Maria, Torre and Lisbon ACCs and the Lisbon ACC, we were able to clarify issues and learn more about the challenges that Air Traffic Controllers face on a daily basis in their profession.
