ULusófona - CUP Holds Opening Session of Master's Degree in Physical Education

ULusófona - CUP has officially opened the academic year for the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching for Primary and Secondary Education, a course with a practical and innovative approach. During the session, which featured prominent figures in the field, the main characteristics and benefits of this programme were presented, which prepares students to become Physical Education teachers, qualifying them to apply for national competitions organised by the Ministry of Education.

One of the strengths of this master's degree is its hybrid nature, combining theoretical and practical components. The curriculum includes theoretical subjects such as physical education teaching, curriculum development, and training methodology, as well as a wide range of practical activities. The sports disciplines covered include team sports, individual sports, adventure sports, and racket sports, highlighting the emphasis on the physical and pedagogical preparation of future teachers.

The event also featured the intervention of the President of the National Council of Physical Education Professional Associations (CNAPEF), Professor Adelino Azevedo, and the Faculty Director, who emphasised the importance of training highly qualified teachers to meet the needs of modern education.
