Being a student and a high-performance athlete was a challenge, but it was something I wanted to do during my career. It required a great deal of commitment, dedication, discipline and very strong time management, but I believe it is possible, it was possible and it is something I am very proud of.
At the moment, I have started teaching the Judo course here at the faculty, and I also combine it with the role of Judo coordinator at Sport Lisboa e Benfica. These are two roles that I am able to balance very well. If I had a high-performance career, it would be much more difficult (if I were an athlete). At this moment, I feel that this is the ideal time to embrace this new career.
For me, it was a pleasure to be a student here at Lusófona University. It was a course I really enjoyed, because I felt that I was truly assimilating knowledge and that I was able to transfer that knowledge into my professional life, both as an athlete and now in the sports management phase. I also completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management (Marketing and Sports Management) here at the faculty. Therefore, it was a course I enjoyed greatly and an experience that also enriched me as a person.
