    The Master's degree program in Educational Sciences is an opportunity for training for individuals who want to comprehend the educational journeys of individuals and communities and develop appropriate responses to current contexts. Its main objective is to provide training for socially relevant scientific research for teachers, researchers, trainers, professionals in planning and administration, adult education, pedagogical supervision, and inclusive education. The current structure of the Master's degree program in Educational Sciences at Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa offers four areas of specialization in addition to a common general training for all students. These specializations include Public Policies and Educational Contexts, Adult Education and Community Intervention, Pedagogical Supervision, and Inclusive Education.

    Admission Conditions

    Candidates can apply for the master's degree program if they meet the following criteria: a) Holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent; b) Holders of a foreign academic degree obtained after completing a first cycle of studies in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process, awarded by a state adhering to this process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognized as fulfilling the objectives of a bachelor's degree by the competent statutory body; d) Individuals with an academic, scientific, or professional background recognized by the competent statutory body of CUL as demonstrating the capacity to pursue this course of study. Selection criteria: - 50% previous academic performance - 50% curriculum assessment For candidates without a previous qualification or without a grade for the previous qualification, the following criteria apply: - 75% curriculum assessment - 25% Motivation and Justification

    Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

    - Be capable of understanding and correctly using specific concepts from various subjects within the course. - Be capable of critically reading research in the field of Social Sciences, particularly in education and training. - Be capable of analyzing and comprehending educational facts and processes in any context, both individually and in groups, proposing solutions and intervening directly or indirectly in change. - Be capable of conceiving, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational projects, whether formal or non-formal, taking into account the needs of individuals or communities and the contexts in which they are embedded. - Be capable of working individually and in groups. - Be capable of identifying a problem and constructing an appropriate research project.

    Objectives

    Provide training for scientific research as a social good, and the study of processes of change in educational and social practices for teachers and researchers, trainers and facilitators, technicians and specialists in the areas of planning, adult education, pedagogical supervision, and inclusive education. Offer specialized training in two out of the four areas to meet the demands of emerging roles in education and training systems, for which it proposes the following specific objectives: Understand the impact of Public Policies on the definition of widespread educational concepts and practices. Adapt the challenge of lifelong education from the perspective of lifelong learning and the exchange of relevant knowledge for the contexts and lives of adults.
